2025 Coach Experiential Learning Program

The purpose of the Coach Experiential Learning Program Grant (the Grant) is to support an organisation’s capability to enhance the learning experience for developing HP coaches in their sport through an authentic workplace experiential learning program.    

The Grant forms part of the broader Coach Experiential Learning Program (the Program), which is targeted at developing HP coaches who are ready and seeking to gain experiences on international coaching teams. The Program, whilst initially developed for women coaches, has been expanded to include all developing coaches.    

The Coach selected must be available for:       

• The 1st face to face workshop on June 12, 2025.       

• The 2nd workshop will be held on March 3, 2026.  

Note: You will be required to attach the following documents to this application form so please prepare them in advance:          

• Coach Individual Learning Plan          

• What the coach hopes to learn during this tour           

• Roles and Responsibilities for the Coach on Tour          

• NSO High Performance Coach Development Strategy / Plan.  

To be eligible to apply, the following criteria must be met by the coach and the organisation:

Organisation (NSO/D)

• Be an ASC recognised NSO/D, in line with the National HP Sport Eligibility Criteria
• Be the Combat Institute or Australia, or the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia
• Be a recipient of ASC Win Well investment during the 2024-25 and 2025-26 financial year
• Have a current NSO/D HP Coach Development Plan/Strategy in place
• Confirm that to the nominated individual (HP Coach) has been identified as part of the next generation of coaches in their identified sport
• Confirm that the nominated individual (HP coach) will attend an international tour between 13 June 2025 and 28 February 2026.

Individual (HP Coach)

• Be currently coaching categorised athletes within an ASC Win Well funded NSO/D or NIN partner
• Have a current individual coach development plan (ICDP)
• Be endorsed by their nominating NSO/D Performance Director
• Be considered suitable for selection as a coach for the individuals first or second international tour by the nominating NSO/D

Notes:

• The international event the individual (HP coach) will attend must take place between 13 June 2025 and 28 February 2026.
• The HP Coach must be available to attend two, one-day face-to-face workshops before and after the tour, and complete reflection exercises while on tour
• The HP Coach will undergo an integrity check by Sport Integrity Australia and the ASC, as organised by the ASC.
