Grant program information

This Grant Program is a Project Para initiative introduced to help increase the capability of Para coaches.

This Grant Program is directed specifically at Para coaches and provides both individual Para coaches and NSO/Ds and NIN partners and other 'eligible organisations' with financial support towards a program, project, or initiative that supports either the development of the Individual HP Para Coach (Individual HP Para Coach Development Grant) or HP Para Coaches within an Organisation (Organisation HP Para Coach Development Grant).

When applying, eligible individual Coaches should choose the Individual HP Para Coach Development Grant and eligible Organisations should choose the Organisations HP Para Coach Development Grant.

Individual HP Para Coach Development Initiatives Grant

  • The amount available for an Individual HP Para Coach Development Initiative Grant is up to $6,000 (excluding GST).
  • Eligible individual coaches can submit one (1) application to the Individual HP Para Coach Development Initiative Grant Program and can receive a maximum of one (1) grant.

Organisation HP Para Coach Development Initiatives Grant

  • The amount available for an Organisation HP Para Coach Development Initiative Grant is up to $20,000 (excl GST).
  • Eligible organisations may submit more than one application to the Organisation HP Para Coach Development Grant Program, with one (1) HP Para coach development initiative/HP Para coach group identified per application. (This is to allow, for example, sports with multiple disciplines/event groups to apply for multiple grants to support different discipline/event group initiatives). Eligible organisations may subsequently receive more than one grant.

Important: The Grant Program is not a funding source for sports to add coaches onto international or domestic tours. The Program is designed to provide financial support that enables targeted Individual HP Para Coaches and Organisations to access identified HP Para coach development initiatives that address individual Para coach or organisation Para coach development needs.
